THE WHAT COULD WORK SHOP

THE MEMORY BANK, A CULTURE WESTON PROJECT

JUNE 2020

A community youth workshop that and Ramona Bigwood and I conceptualised during lockdown 2020. It focused on working with young people to reimagine how empty shop fronts could be filled in their town's high streets. A simple activity that prompts larger thinking about what is important to a town's community. The workshop was part of Culture Weston's project The Memory Bank. We were part of the FUTURE section, we held an online workshop asking the participants about the future of Weston-super-mare. Participants were sent a pack with a 'Future Vision' sheet, some patterned paper, other materials, and nets to create their shop fronts.
