THREE MONTH RESIDENCY IN LIMINAL GALLERY'S CUPBOARD SPACE -

LIMINAL GALLERY, MARGATE - NOV 2024 - FEB 2025

A three-month residency at Liminal Gallery in The Cupboard where I created a miniature living room inspired by the worlds I would get lost in and cartoons I watched as a child. It featured miniature sculptures of a television and sofa, painted walls, a working lamp, and a hand-embroidered rug.   

 

'The Cupboard was transformed into a compact universe that evoked the dreamlike essence of 90s cartoons from the artists childhood. This installation pays homage to the captivating glow of television, immersing viewers in vibrant animated realms.

Featuring a meticulously crafted miniature living room, it invites the audience to shrink down and experience a surreal after-school reverie. Adorned with miniature neon paintings that celebrate influential childhood shows, the piece encourages viewers to peer inside and lose themselves in nostalgic contemplation.'
